“Chronic Overlapping Pain Conditions: Biopsychosocial Contributions”

Roger B. Fillingim, PhD, will deliver a special ARIA seminar talk,  on Tuesday, March 8 at 1pm. Dr. Fillingim is currently Distinguished Professor of Dentistry and Director of the Pain Research and Intervention Center of Excellence (PRICE) at the University of Florida. A 1990 graduate the UAB doctoral program in clinical psychology, Dr. Fillingim is internationally known for his research on basic pain mechanisms and how they differ as a function of age, gender, and ethnicity; he has authored or co-authored four books, 44 book chapters, and more than 200 peer reviewed journal articles on these and associated topics. Dr. Fillingim is past President of the American Pain Society and recipient of the APS Wilbert E. Fordyce Clinical Investigator Award for excellence in clinical pain research.
